Under the Corvette's bonnet is a 6.2-liter V8 driving the back tires. Highest possible energy is 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of twisting -- up from 436 and 428 last season, respectively. Don't be not impressed by what appear to be moderate energy benefits, though; the new engine contributes approximately 50 lb-ft of twisting below 4,000 rpm over the confident design. The optionally available dual-mode fatigue further provides a minor energy increase to 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of twisting. Putting this to the floor is a seven-speed stick shift or a six-speed automated.
